چکیده

Given that probiotics always have host-homologous and strain-specific effects on the hosts, lactic acid bacteria extracted identified from porcine specimens can be potentially developed as for pig production. We aimed to identify are probiotic, good capacity of inhibiting pathogenic in intestine promising used substitutes antibiotics Potential probiotic strains were 15 fecal collected apparently healthy pigs, via 16S rDNA sequencing. The antimicrobial activity, tolerance bile salts, Caco-2 cell adhesiveness susceptibility isolates evaluated vitro, oral toxicity mice. One Lactiplantibacillus plantarum (BJR2), two Lacticaseibacillus casei (HJD TH2), one rhamnosus (MRS1), Enterococcus faecium (S-3 S-4-H) pigs underwent sequencing identification. L. BJR2 HJD exhibited broad-spectrum higher activity against indicator enteric pathogens, including Salmonella choleraesuis CVCC 2139, Escherichia coli (O147:K89) 199, (O141:K99) 223 (O139) 1496, among 6 tested strains. In addition, both low pH (pH 2.5 3.5) 0.30% had relatively strong carried no transferable resistant genes encoded by plasmid. safety trials, these α or β-hemolysis proved safe through tests It is concluded potential candidate their need further studied pigs.

Probiotic Properties and Physicochemical Potential of Lactic Acid Bacteria Isolated from Moroccan Table Olives

Background: Lactic Acid Bacteria are a group of Gram-positive bacteria which are widely used in the food industry as organic ferments called starter cultures. In this study, Enterococcus faecium, Leuconostoc mesenteroides, Lactococcus lactis, Weissella paramesenteroides, and Lactiplantibacillus plantarum isolated from Moroccan table olives were tested for their acquisition of probiotic and tech...

Screening of Indigenous Oxalate Degrading Lactic Acid Bacteria from Human Faeces and South Indian Fermented Foods: Assessment of Probiotic Potential

Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) have the potential to degrade intestinal oxalate and this is increasingly being studied as a promising probiotic solution to manage kidney stone disease. In this study, oxalate degrading LAB were isolated from human faeces and south Indian fermented foods, subsequently assessed for potential probiotic property in vitro and in vivo. Based on preliminary characteristics...

Lactic Acid Bacteria: Probiotic Applications

Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) is a heterotrophic Gram-positive bacteria which under goes lactic acid fermentations and leads to production of lactic acid as an end product. LAB includes Lactobacillus, Leuconostoc, Pediococcus, Lactococcus and Streptococcus which are grouped together in the family lactobacillaceae. LAB shows numerous antimicrobial activities due to production of antibacterial and a...

Characterization of lactic acid bacteria isolated from infant faeces as potential probiotic starter cultures for fermented sausages.

A total of 109 lactic acid bacteria isolated from infant faeces were identified by partial 16S rRNA, cpn60 and/or pheS sequencing. Lactobacillus was the most prevalent genus, representing 48% of the isolates followed by Enterococcus (38%). Lactobacillus gasseri (21%) and Enterococcus faecalis (38%) were the main species detected. A further selection of potential probiotic starter cultures for f...

Antibiotic Resistance of Lactic Acid Bacteria from Canine Faeces

The present study has focused on the occurrence of Enterococcus sp., Lactobacillus sp. and Staphylococcus sp., detected in faeces of healthy dogs, and their resistance to commonly used antibiotics. The average of the total count of enterococci reached 5.9 log10 + 1.2, that of lactobacilli 6.9 log10 + 1.6, and of staphylococci 2.4 log10 + 1.1. Among antibiotics tested, the highest resistance of ...
